Hayden Foxe, the player once touted as one of Australia’s hottest young talents has been released by Leeds United.
In a statement released by the former high-flying club it was confirmed that Foxe, along with team mate Robbie Elliot will not be offered new contracts. Foxe was initially a short-term signing but ended up appearing 21 times for the All Whites.
At times during the club’s tumultuous season, Foxe was criticised and heckled by the sections of the club’s supporter base.
The Sydney native has also played for West Ham and Portsmouth in England, as well as stints in Japan, the Netherlands and Belgium.
