A player touted as a future great for the Socceroos got his first taste of the cooker pressure that is Manchester City. Elsewhere it was a hard slog for all our Aussies abroad with Ryan Edwards bagging two goals in a week.
ASIA
It was a no-show in Korea last week for our Asian Aussies Abroad. Adam Taggart (Suwon Bluewings), Rashid Mahazi (Incheon United), Jason Davidson (Ulsan Hyundai) and Bernie Ibini (Jeonbuk Hyundai) were all absent from their squads. Luckily all teams won their matches except Mahazi and Davidson's sides playing out a 3-3 draw.
In Japan Ange Postecoglou got back to winning ways as his Yokohama F Marinos defeated Gamba Osaka 3-1 at home.
Mitchell Langerak's Nagoya Grampus went down 2-1 to FC Tokyo with Langerak coming off in the 66th minute due to a foot injury.
Major blow for Nagoya as Langerak injures his foot saving a shot and is forced off. Major blow for him personally as well having been called up by the Socceroos earlier
