Chris Ikonomidis celebrated yet another Socceroos call up with his first goal for AGF in Denmark whilst Gol-Gol Mebrahtu scored in the Czech cup.
Elsewhere, Awer Mabil scored against his parent club FC Midtjylland, James Jeggo scored in a penalty shootout for Sturm Graz and Brad Jones continuted his sensational run of form, keeping a clean sheet for Feyenoord.
UK
In the League Cup, Bailey Wright played a full match for Preston North End as they lost 6-0 to Newcastle United. Wright picked up a yellow card, having given Newcastle a penalty kick in the 53rd minute.
In the English National League Giancarlo Gallifuoco played a full match for Torquay United as they lost 3-0 to Eastleigh.
In the Scottish Premiership, Scott McDonald came off the bench in the 64th minute in Motherwell’s 3-0 loss to Inverness CT. Ryan Edwards played a full match for Patrick Thistle as they defeated Dundee 2-0. Tom Rogic was an unused substitute for Celtic as they beat Ross County 4-0.
EUROPE
In the Austrian Cup, James Jeggo played a full match for Sturm Graz drew 1-1 with St Polten. Jeggo got the second goal in the subsequent penalty shootout but Sturm Graz ultimately lost 4-3 on penalties.
In the Czech Cup, Gol-Gol Mebrahtu started for Mlada Boleslav and scored the opening goal as they defeated Hradec Kralove 4-2 in a high scoring fixture.
In the Danish Superliga, Awer Mabil scored the only goal for Esbjerg in a 3-1 loss to his parent club FC Midtjylland. Brent McGrath was on the bench for the match. Chris Ikonomidis and Mustafa Amini both started for AGF with Ikonomidis scoring his first goal for the club in the 90th minute.

In the Dutch KNVB Beker, Kenneth Dougall played the full match for Sparta Rotterdam as they beat PSV 3-1. Craig Goodwin was substituted on in the 79th minute. Brad Jones kept yet another clean sheet as Feyenoord thrashed Excelsior 4-0 with Jones playing the entire match.
In the German DFB Pokal, Robbie Kruse started and played 74 minutes for Bayer Leverkusen as they lost 4-3 on penalties after drawing 2-2 against Sportfreunde Lotte. Mitchell Langerak played a full match as Stuttgart were beaten 2-0 by Borussia Mönchengladbach. Mathew Leckie played 120 minutes for Ingolstadt against Eintracht Frankfurt, before being substituted off for the penalty shootout, having been 0-0 after extra time. Ingolstadt lost on penalties, 4-1. Ben Halloran played the first 60 minutes in Heidenheim’s 1-0 loss to Wolfsburg.
In the Norwegian NM Cupen, Alex Gersbach came off the bench in the 77th minute in Rosenborg’s 2-0 win over Bodø / Glimt.
In the Russian Cup, Luke Wilkshire played the first half in Dinamo Moscow’s 2-3 loss to FK Tosno.
In the Swedish Allsvenskan, Scott Jamieson played the full match for IFK Goteborg as they defeated AIK, 1-0 with Jamieson picking up a yellow card in the 90th minute.

ASIA
In the Chinese Super League, Matthew Spiranovic played a full match for Hangzhou as they drew 0-0 with Hebei. Trent Sainsbury played a full match for Jiangsu Suning, picking up a yellow card in the 21st minute, as they defeated Guangzhou Evergrande 2-0. Apostolos Giannou squared off against fellow Aussies Michael Thwaite and Dario Vidosic. Playing for Guangzhou R&F, Giannou played 63 minutes in the 1-1 draw, whilst Thwaite and Vidosic both had full games Liaoning Whowin. Aleksandar Jovanovic played a full match for Tianjin Teda as they lost 1-0 to Shanghai SIPG. Ryan McGowan also put in a full shift for Henan Jianye as they lost 2-1 to Changchun Yatai.
