In the English Premier League Mat Ryan and Aaron Mooy's Brighton lost 2-0 at home to Southampton. Ryan played 90 minutes while Mooy was an unused sub.
It was a double match day in the Championship this week with all teams playing twice. Massimo Luongo played five minutes off the bench for Sheffield Wednesday in a 1-0 win over Luton Town and was an unused sub in a 2-1 loss to Preston North End.
Jackson Irvine took the captain's armband for Hull City for the first time in their 1-0 loss at home to Blackburn Rovers. Later in the week Irvine was taken off after 88 minutes as Hull lost 3-1 to Bristol City.

In League One action Ryan Edwards played 80 minutes for Burton in a 4-2 win over Oxford United and a full match in a 0-0 draw with Shrewsbury. Harry Souttar played two matches in central defence as Fleetwood Town drew 1-1 with Wycombe and kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 win over Accrington Stanley.
Mark Milligan's horror start at Southend United continues with two more losses and a nightmare own goal from the Aussie skipper. Southend lost 2-0 to Peterborough and 4-3 to Wycombe with Milligan playing 90 minutes in both games.
In League Two, Jack Iredale played a full match for Carlisle United as they lost 2-0 to Cheltenham. Jordan Lyden completed 90 minutes for Swindon Town in a 1-0 loss to Northampton.
In the Scottish Premiership Lyndon Dykes scored his first Premiership goal for Livingston in a 4-1 win over Ross County. Oli Bozanic was an unused sub for Hearts in their 3-1 loss to Celtic.
In the English youth leagues Peter Gwargis scored for Brighton U23 as they defeated Leicester City youth 3-0. Tyrese Francois played a full game for Fulham U23 in a 3-1 loss to West Brom U23. Caleb Watts was absent from Southampton U23's squad as they lost 1-0 to Derby County U23.
