UNITED KINGDOM 

In the English Premier League Socceroos goalkeeper Mat Ryan played a full match while teammate Aaron Mooy made his debut for the Seagulls in a 1-1 draw with West Ham. Mooy played five minutes off the bench as Brighton remain undefeated after two matches. 

In the Championship Massimo Luongo played 30 minutes off the bench for Sheffield Wednesday in their 1-0 loss to Millwall. Jackson Irvine played a full match for Hull City while Callum Elder was absent for Hull City in their 1-1 draw with Brentford. 

Bailey Wright was ruled out for up to several weeks after a training ground injury this week and was absent from Bristol City's 2-0 win over QPR. 

In League One action Harry Souttar played 90 minutes in Fleetwood Town's 3-2 loss to Doncaster Rovers. Mark Milligan played a full match for Southend United in their 4-0 loss to Lincoln City.

Ryan Edwards started and played 90 minutes in midfield for Burton Albion as they lost 1-0 at home to Rotherham United. Ryan Williams' injury continues to drag on as he was absent from Portsmouth's 2-1 loss to Sunderland. 

In League Two, Jack Iredale played a full match for Carlisle United in their 2-0 loss at home to Mansfield Town. Jordan Lyden played a full game for Swindon Town while Cameron McGilp was absent in a 1-1 draw with Exeter City. 

In the SPFL Lyndon Dykes played a full 90 minutes as Livingston drew 2-2 with St Johnstone. Oliver Bozanic 17 minutes off the bench for Hearts as they drew 0-0 with Ross County. 

In the English Youth Leagues 18-year old Peter Gwargis played the second half for Brighton U23 in their 2-0 win over Wolves U23. Caleb Watts was tasked with holding midfield for Southampton U18, the fell to a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Swansea City U18. 

Aussie referee Jarred Gillett officiated Blackburn Rovers 1-0 win over Middlesborough. Gillett awarded another penalty which was converted and handed out eight yellow cards. 

EUROPE 

In Germany Mathew Leckie began the Bundesliga season playing a full match for Hertha Berlin in a 2-2 draw with FC Bayern München. Leckie was stationed at right midfield and had a commendable 90 minutes. 

Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, the Socceroos' new hotshot Brandon Borrello made his Bundesliga debut playing 65 minutes in a 3-0 win for SC Freiburg over Mainz. 

John Iredale scored his fourth goal for Wolfsburg II as he played 72 minutes in a 2-0 win over Werder Bremen II. Joshua Laws was an unused sub for Fortuna Dusseldorf II in their 2-0 loss to TuS Haltern. 

Milos Degenek was at the centre of UEFA Champions League drama with Red Star Belgrade once again. Degenek played 120 minutes and scored his penalty as Red Star beat Kobenhavn 7-6 in the shootout. 

In Denmark Awer Mabil started and played 68 minutes for Midtjylland in a 1-1 draw with Hobro. Mabil played the second half as Midtjylland were knocked out of the Europa League losing 7-3 on aggregate to Rangers. 

In the Netherlands Ajdin Hrustic played a full 90 minutes as FC Groningen drew 0-0 with AZ Alkmaar. Dylan Ryan was an unused sub as Willem II defeated Fortuna Sittard 3-2. Daniel Bouman was an unused sub for SC Cambuur as they smashed Go Ahead Eagles 5-0. 

In Austria James Holland started and was substituted after 53 minutes as LASK Linz as they beat Flyeralarm 1-0. Holland played a full match as Linz defeated FC Basel in their UEFA Champions League qualifying match in midweek. 

James Jeggo played 27 minutes off the bench for Austria Wien as they were knocked out of the Europa League qualifying stage 5-2 on aggregate to Apollon Limassol. Jeggo also played a full match against Flyeralarm drawing 1-1. 

In Turkey Aziz Behich played a full match for Basaksehir as they lost 3-0 to Malatyaspor. Behich was also an unused sub as Basaksehir were knocked out of UEFA Champions League qualifying, losing 2-0 to Olympiacos. 

In Croatia Fran Karacic was absent from NK Lokomotiv Zagreb's squad as they drew 1-1 with Varazdin. 

In Israel Nikita Rukavytsya scored and played a full match as Maccabi Haifa defeated Netanya 2-1 away from home. 

In Cyprus Apostolos Giannou's AEK Larnaca were knocked out of Europa League qualifying after losing 4-1 on aggregate to Gent. Giannou played a full match and got a yellow card. 

ASIA 

In Korea it's daylight between Adam Taggart and his pursuers for the K-League Golden Boot. Taggart scored a hat-trick in Suwon Bluewings 3-1 win over Gangwon FC. Terry Antonis was absent for Suwon. 

Taggart is making his case as a Socceroos starting centre-forward scoring 16 goals in 23 matches in the K-League. 

Rashid Mahazi played a full 90 minutes as Incheon United drew 0-0 with Jeju United. Bernie Ibini was absent for Jeonbuk Hyundai's 3-0 win over Ulsan Hyundai for whom Jason Davidson was still absent. 

In Japan Ange Postecoglou has lost his third match in a row as Yokohama F Marinos lost 2-1 at home to Cerezo Osaka. Yokahama now sit in fifth place in the J-League when they were second only two weeks ago.

Mitchell Langerak was between the sticks for Nagoya Grampus as they drew 1-1 with Matsumoto Yamaga. 

NORTH AMERICA & AFRICA 

In the MLS Andy Rose played a full 90 minutes for Vancouver Whitecaps as they defeated D.C United 1-0. 

In the USL Antonee Burke-Gliroy played a full match while Jesse Daley played 83 minutes as Seattle Sounders II lost 2-0 to El Paso Locomotive.
