EUROPE 

In the UEFA Europa League Danny Vukovic's KRC Genk were knocked out by Slavia Prague 4-1 on aggregate with the Aussie keeper suffering a sickening injury to the ribs almost an hour into play before being substituted. 

In Germany Mathew Leckie was still absent from action for Hertha Berlin as they were narrowly edged by Bayern Munich 1-0. Leckie was injured heading into the Asian Cup and head coach Pal Dardai is keeping the Socceroo in cotton wool to prevent further injury. 

In the second division Robbie Kruse was absent from Vfl Bochum's side that lost 3-1 to Holstein Kiel. 

In the German Youth Leagues George Timotheou played a full match for Schalke II as they drew 0-0 with FC Gievenbeck. Christian Theoharous was absent from Borussia Mönchengladbach II's squad after they won 2-0 over Wuppertaler. John Anton-Buceto played an hour for Kaan-Marienborn as they drew 1-1 with SV Straelen. Cameron Kemp was absent from Vfl Alfter's squad that shared their points Vfl Rheinbach in a 2-2 draw.

Jamie Percevski was an unused sub for Fortuna Dusseldorf U19 as they drew 0-0 with Borussia Dortmund U19. Kye Sztopka was absent from FC Hennef 05's squad as they lost 3-0 to Fortuna Dusseldorf U17 3-0. 

In the Netherlands Denis Genreau and Dean Bouzanis were both unused subs for PEC Zwolle as they lost 3-0 to De Grafschaap. Ajdin Hrustic was an unused sub for FC Groningen as they drew 0-0 with NAC Breda for whom Alex Gersbach played the first half. Both Aziz Behich and Trent Sainsbury were unused substitutes for PSV as they drew 1-1 with Feyenoord as their lead at the top of the Eredivisie table shortened to just two points. 

In the Dutch youth leagues Daniel Bouman was on the scoresheet for Jong Groningen as they thrashed Lisse 5-1. Dylan Ryan played a full game for Willem II U21 as they lost 3-1 at home to Feyenoord. Sebastian Pasquali was an unused sub as Jong Ajax beat Telstar 2-0. Thomas Prinsen was on the bench for Jong Almere in their match against Ijsselmeervogels. 

In Austria LASK's James Holland and Austria Wien's Jimmy Jeggo faced off in a battle of the Aussies. It was Holland's LASK who ran out 2-0 winners, maintaining their second place spot. 

In Denmark Socceroos starlet Awer Mabil played 85 minutes in FC Midtjylland's 2-1 win over Aalborg. Antonis Martis powered through 120 minutes for FC Midtjylland U19 as they defeated AS Roma U19 on penalties to advance in the play-offs of the UEFA Youth League.

Mustafa Amini played a full match for AGF Aarhus while Awer Mabil started and played 80 minutes for FC Midtjylland as Mabil's side ran out 2-1 winners. Brent McGrath was a second half substitute for Esbjerg in their 2-0 loss to Hobro.

Tomi Juric was yet again absent from FC Luzern's squad that drew 1-1 with FC Zurich. Juric hasn't played for FC Luzern in their last three matches and has been told to find a new club.

In Croatia Fran Karacic played a full match as skipper for NK Lokomotiv Zagreb as they drew 0-0 with Istra 1961. Steven Lustica played three minutes off the bench for Inter Zapresic as they defeated Slaven Belupo 1-0. Anthony Kalik played 68 minutes for Hajduk Split as they drew 0-0 with NK Gorica. 

In Cyprus Apostolos Giannou was absent from AEK Larnaca's squad that defeated Paralimni 3-0. 

In Italy Reno Piscopo played a full match for AC Renate as they lost 2-0 to Triestina. Nick Pennington was an unused sub for Olbia Calcio's squad as they fell late to a 1-0 loss away to Arezzo. Gabriel Cleur was also an unused sub for Virtus Entella in their 3-1 victory over Piacenza.
