Abdulrahman fired home a free-kick in the fourth minute of stoppage time to secure the victory for the visitors and condemn Uzbekistan to their third defeat in the group.

The hosts started brightly and even had the ball in the net in the first minute of the game after Anzur Ismailov scored from Server Djeparov's corner, but the strike was ruled out after the referee adjudged that the ball had gone out of play.

Uzbekistan should have scored again five minutes after the restart following a mistake from Sayed Mohamed Adnan which allowed Farhod Tadjiyev to bear down on goal. However, his shot from the edge of the area went wide.

Bahrain had their best chance just after the hour mark when Mohamed Salmeen sparked a quick counter attack before setting up Jaycee Okwunwanne but his effort was denied by Uzbekistan goalkeeper Ignatiy Nesterov.

The hosts were again guilty of missing a chance to score after 85 minutes when Anvar Gafurov crossed from the right but Maksim Shatskikh's shot was too weak to trouble the goalkeeper.

Uzbekistan were made to rue that miss when Bahrain grabbed the winner seconds before the final whistle when Abdulrahman's powerful free-kick beat Nesterov and went into the back of the net to secure a first victory for his side.
