BRAZILIAN striker Fernando Baiano scored a hat-trick to steer Al Wahda to a 5-3 extra-time win against Al Nasr in the quarter-finals of the UAE President's Cup.
The win sent Al Wahda to the semi-finals of the competition to join Emirates who defeated Ajman 1-0 in the other match.
Al Nasr opened the scoring on 29 minutes as their Ecuadorian striker Carlos Tenorio scored from a spot kick but Baiano levelled for Al Wahda six minutes into the second half.
Baiano claimed the lead for Al Wahda three minutes after the hour before he completed his hat-trick six minutes later, before Tenorio pulled a goal back on 78 minutes.
Mohammad Mallallah then levelled the scores in the last minute of the game.
Al Wahda took the lead again three minutes before the end of the first period of extra time through Bashir Saeed and Brazilian midfielder Andre Luciano Pinga sealed the win in the third minute of the the second half of extra time.
In the other game Adnan Hussain scored a 14th minute goal to steer Emirates to a 1-0 win against Ajman.
