BASEL returned to the top of the Swiss Super League standings with a come-from-behind 3-1 win over Aarau.
The hosts trailed to Patrick Bengondo's 28th-minute goal for much of the match, until Benjamin Huggel levelled from the penalty spot 13 minutes from time.
Valentin Stocker then scored twice in three minutes (82, 85) to snatch the win and move Basle a point clear of FC Zurich.
FC Sion eased their relegation fears with a 2-0 victory against 10-man Grasshoppers.
The 68th-minute dismissal of substitute Rolf Feltscher - only three minutes after coming off the bench - proved the turning point as Alvaro Dominguez's penalty and Saidi Aladu Adeshina's strike secured the win.
Sion are now six points clear of the bottom two.
