KARLSRUHE coach Edmund Becker has signed a one-year extension to his contract which will keep him at the helm until summer 2010.
The 51-year-old's team cemented their place in the Bundesliga last season after winning promotion in 2006/07 to secure top-flight football for the first time since 1998.
KSC sporting director Rolf Dohmen told the club's official website: "Of course, we are very happy that our extremely successful cooperation will extend beyond the current season.
"One look at our development since Ede took over coaching duties is enough to appreciate his performance.
"He took over when the team was at the bottom of the 2.Bundesliga and is now well on the way to establishing KSC in the Bundesliga."
