KARIM Benzema rescued Real Madrid as they clawed back some of the deficit on Primera Division leaders Barcelona with a 1-0 victory over Real Mallorca tonight.
Mallorca's defence had done well to keep out the hosts until Benzema struck after 61 minutes to take Madrid within four points of Barca.
