The RFEF announced that Betis' Manuel Ruiz de Lopera ground would be closed following an incident involving Sevilla coach Juande Ramos during last week's Copa del Rey match.

Ramos was knocked unconscious by a bottle thrown from the stands and spent the night under observation in a local hospital.

Betis appealed against the ruling, calling it "unjust", but the RFEF on Wednesday upheld their original decision.

However, Betis have 15 working days to appeal the verdict with the Spanish Committee for Sports Discipline (CEDD).

Betis were trailing 1-0 in the Copa del Rey quarter-final second leg against local rivals Sevilla when Ramos was struck just before the hour mark.

The match was then abandoned and the game will be played again starting from the 57th minute at the neutral ground of Getafe's Coliseum Alfonso Perez and behind closed doors on March 20.

The first leg of the quarter-final tie finished goalless at Sevilla's Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium.
