Chelsea striker Shevchenko and Dynamo Kiev forward Rebrov are back in full training after missing Saturday's 2-0 away win over the Faroe Islands.

Ruslan Rotan and goalkeeper Maxym Startsev, who both also missed the game in Toftir through injury, are available for selection.

Lithuania coach Algimantas Liubinskas remains upbeat despite the weekend's 1-0 defeat at home to France.

He said: "We have good players and also players of an amateur level. Our tactics were good and we played well."

The Lithuanians currently lie fifth in Group B and require three points to keep alive their slim chances of reaching the tournament in Austria and Switzerland next year.

Italy go into their home match against group leaders Scotland without three key players. Alessandro Nesta and Fabio Grosso are both out injured while Francesco Totti has ruled himself out of international football until September.

Roma defender Max Tonetto has been called into the squad for the first time and Udinese goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctic has also been added after an injury scare to Gianluigi Buffon.

Scotland are also without three crucial figures with Darren Fletcher, James McFadden and Nigel Quashie all out due to injury, although they welcome back Steven Pressley from suspension.

Manager Alex McLeish is set to pick one striker from Kenny Miller, Kris Boyd and Craig Beattie to play up front alone.

Georgia coach Klaus Toppmoller picks from the same squad that lost 2-1 to Scotland on Saturday when his side host the Faroe Islands.

Lying second from bottom in the pool going into Wednesday's match, Georgia striker Shota Arveladze admits he will consider his international future after the match.

"Wednesday could be my last game," said the 34-year-old. "We are still doing well but I have to make my decision."

The Faroe Islands' quest for a goal or a point in Group B enters its sixth game after the home defeat to Ukraine.

The Faroes have lost all five of their group matches and conceded 20 goals in the process.
