The forward struggled in his first season at the Bernabeu following a £30million move from Lyon in the summer of 2009 and his lack of form led to him being left out of France's squad for the World Cup in South Africa.

The 22-year-old has started the 2010-11 in more encouraging fashion, scoring for France in a Euro 2012 qualifier against Bosnia-Herzegovina and for Real against Espanyol in the Primera Division earlier this month.

However, Blanc feels outside influences may be having a negative effect on the player.

"He is not used to working," Blanc told France Soir.

"When you are face to face with the person, they listen to you. But these same attentive and receptive people, when they go out on the street, meet people who tell them, 'You're the best, you play for Real Madrid, you don't need to work. These are false friends."

Blanc was due to name his squad for next month's Euro 2012 qualifiers against Romania and Luxembourg later today.
