Culina has yet to kick an A-League ball in anger and has played just one warm up game but the coach can already see just how important an acquisition he could prove to be.

The players are hard at work preparing for this week's friendly with English Premier League side Fulham where Culina is expected to get another run out.

Bleiberg told AAP this morning: "It's hard to judge, but me as a coach, I can see the small differences with Jason around. The whole, not spirit, but the whole quality of the exercise is lifted.

"He is doing everything better than the others and everybody tries to emulate him, so it looks good and I'm very happy."

As for the visit of Mark Schwarzer and company, Bleiberg said victory would not lead to over excitement, nor defeat lead to tears. Win, lose or draw the club would learn from the clash.

Speaking ahead of the weekend's 5-0 win over Hong Kong FC, Bleiberg said: "We know what a good side Fulham are and we know the very high standard of the competition they play in, but we have good players who work hard and we will be giving it our very best shot.

"We will approach this game like we approach any other - with confidence. That's the mindset we have established with our players from day one and we see no need to change that.

"We have no intention of trying to close out the game and defend for our lives, that's not how we play football and we will be putting on a brave performance against Fulham."
