Liverpool forward Fabio Borini will not be moving to Serie A outfit Napoli, according to his agent.
Borini, 22, has been linked with a switch to the Naples-based club during the off-season.
But the former Roma forward, who has been at Liverpool for just one campaign, is not likely to leave England, and his agent revealed that he had not been contacted by the club that are now managed by former Anfield boss Rafael Benitez.
"Benitez is a great coach. He has shown that at all his clubs," Marco De Marchi told Radio Crc.
"But Napoli have been linked with (Kevin) Strootman and (Dries) Mertens, and don't forget they have (Lorenzo) Insigne as well, who has great potential.
"I haven't been contracted by Napoli, so at the moment I don't think that's an option for Borini."
Borini, who battled foot and shoulder injuries last season, made 20 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions, scoring two goals.
