AUSSIE Eddy Bosnar was on target as bottom side JEF United Chiba produced their best result of the season with a 3-1 victory over J. League leaders Kashima Antlers at the Fukuda Denshi Arena.
Bosnar gave the home side the lead three minutes before the break and Seiichiro Maki doubled the advantage after 68 minutes.
Masashi Motoyama reduced the deficit for Kashima two minutes later, but Maki netted his second of the game in the 77th minute to seal three points for Alex Miller's men, who remain at the foot of the table on goal difference having drawn level on points with Consadole Sapporo.
However, Urawa Reds and Nagoya Grampus failed to take advantage of Kashima's slip as both missed out on the chance to go top.
Two goals in the final minute saw Urawa and Kashiwa Reysol share a 2-2 draw at Saitama Stadium.
Kashiwa took an 18th-minute lead through Minoru Suganuma but Yuki Abe equalised for Reds in the 34th minute.
Yuichiro Nagai looked to have snatched the points for the home side when he found the back of the net in the final minute only for joy to turn to despair seconds later as Franco levelled for Kashiwa.
Nagoya, meanwhile, lost 1-0 at home to FC Tokyo, Sota Hirayama claiming the only goal of the game after 35 minutes.
Kawasaki Frontale climbed to fourth with a 2-1 victory at Kyoto Sanga FC, Masaru Kurotsu's double either side of half-time clinching victory after Fernandinho pulled a goal back in the 71st minute.
At the other end of the table, Sapporo relinquished a one-goal lead in a 2-1 home defeat to Omiya Ardija.
Anderson got Sapporo off to a great start as the striker broke the deadlock after just two minutes but Omiya hit back seven minutes later through Lavric before Denis Marques struck the winner after 56 minutes.
