Arzani's brilliant attacking displays have lit up the A-League, with many calling for Bert van Marwijk to include the 19-year-old in his Socceroos squad for the World Cup in Russia.

After missing the opening 19 rounds due to injury Fornaroli has returned to his goal scoring best and Bouzanis told FourFourTwo that both the Uruguayan and Arzani are City’s X factor heading into the finals.

“Bruno is back and he’s firing,” said the City goalkeeper.

“He’s scored five goals already this year and he’s only been back for a short period of time.

“Arzani with his young talent and what he brings to the team, he’s taking on players and being very direct.

“It’s special to have these two players in your team who can turn a game on its head at any moment.”

City’s third placing in the regular season is their highest-ever league finish and Bouzanis is confident that they can go all way - not even the Sky Blues will stand in their way.

“What Sydney has done is fantastic,” he said “But we don’t really care what Sydney does or about any other teams.

"We just focus on ourselves because we believe that if we meet Sydney in the Grand Final at their home ground that we are more than capable of beating them.

“They are a fantastic club and they have done fantastically well in the last two years. But that doesn’t scare us in any way, that doesn’t stop us in believing what we can do.

"Because we have enough quality to win the league."

Before lifting any silverware City first have to overcome Brisbane in Friday night’s elimination final at AAMI Park and Bouzanis is in no doubt that City can defeat the Roar.

“We’re really confident,” he said

“We know who we’re up against and we concentrate on ourselves and focus on us doing well, I am sure we can achieve points and progress to the semi-final.

“We want to really stamp our mark on the league and then hopefully win the Grand-Final because it’s such a fantastic club to be a part of. It’s got great ambition and winning things is important for us.”

“It’s the best time of the year for football. It’s a chance to win silverware and these are the games you want to play in.”
