The home side had won just once in their previous six games, but extended their 29-year unbeaten record against European opposition at home.
The hosts burst into life after a goalless first half, with strikes from Oscar and Hernanes giving them the lead before a late penalty from Lucas Moura wrapped up a simple victory.

Marcelo and Luis Gustavo returned to Brazil's starting XI following the 2-2 draw with England, while France coach Dider Deschamps handed starts to Jeremy Mathieu, Karim Benzema and debutant Joshua Guilavogui.

France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris made a shaky start to the game, and almost gifted the hosts the opening in the first minute with an indecisive clearance in the face of pressure from Fred.
However, the visitors soon settled, and Guilavogui could have had a debut goal in the 15th minute but failed to find the net after getting a head to Mathieu Valbuena's free-kick.
The hosts had chances of their own not long after, with Hulk shooting well wide from the right and Neymar calling in vain for a penalty after going down under pressure from Mathieu Debuchy.
But, after Guilavaogui dragged a low shot from distance wide of Julio Cesar's post in the 38th minute, the half petered out with sides level at 0-0.
Brazil started the better of the two teams as the second half got underway, and finally found a breakthrough nine minutes after the restart.
Fred made the most of self-worked space on the left-hand side, and picked out a pass which Oscar gratefully fired beyond Lloris.
The goal extended France's run without a clean a sheet to nine games, their worst record in 21 years, but Oscar failed to compound the visitors' woes as he dragged a shot wide from close range soon after.
However, Brazil would eventually get their second of the match, a superb counter-attacking move ending in Neymar teeing up Hernanes in the box.
And the game was wrapped up deep into injury time when Marcelo was tripped in the box and Lucas Moura calmly dispatched the resulting penalty.
