Grant Brebner could be headed to Newcastle Jets for A-league v4. The 29 year old midfielder is thought to be surplus to requirements in a Victory squad now with an embarrasment of riches in the central midfield position. Newcastle have lost Musialik and are looking at options in the holding midfield role, with coach Gary Von Egmond thought to be very interested in the Scot, whose off-field woes have been well-documented.

FourFourTwo Belief Factor: 6/10 - he certainly wouldn't be overly missed in the current squad, but is his contract up? And he's kinda old for the Jets philosophy... Unless he's been told he has absolutely no chance of game time, we'd expect him to stay.
