SYDNEY FC striker Mark Bridge will return home on Saturday morning to seek treatment on a hip flexor injury he sustained in Tuesday's 3-1 AFC Champions League loss to Suwon Bluewings.
Bridge left the field in the 79th minute of the match after picking up the injury moments earlier.
Upon assessment, it was determined he needed to return to Sydney to see a specialist and commence treatment.
Sydney will travel to Tokyo on Sunday morning ahead of their final Group H match against Japan’s Kashima Antlers on Tuesday at the National Stadium.
The Sky Blues are third in Group H and out of contention to qualify for the knockout phase.
