MARK Bridge's Tianjin Taida remain unbeaten at the top of the Chinese Super League after two early goals gave them a 2-0 win over bottom-placed side Chongqing Lifan.
Cucchi Eber and Xinxin Wang struck in the seventh and 11th minutes respectively to make it three wins in three for Tianjin, while Chongqing are yet to collect full points this season.
Tianjin remain three points ahead of second-placed Shanghai Shenhua, who today came from behind to hammer reigning champions Shandong Luneng 4-1.
Shandong went ahead after 15 minutes thanks to Roda Antar, and they remained in front until five minutes from half time when Vyacheslav Hleb, brother of Barcelona player Alexander, levelled the scores.
Shanghai led before the break when Yu Tao put them ahead on the stroke of half-time. Hernan Barcos increased the lead for the hosts after 61 minutes before Jianquin Mao rounded off the scoring nine minutes from time.
That win means Beijing Guo'an dropped to third after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Jiangsu Shuntian at Workers Stadium.
Leiner Gomez put the visitors in front after just six minutes, and they stayed ahead for an hour until, with 24 minutes to play, Beijing tied the game through Tao Wei.
The draw earned Jiangsu their first point of the season, moving them off the foot of the table.
