Massimiliano Allegri's men have made a slow start to their Serie A campaign, collecting just seven points from their first seven games.

Brocchi, 36, is hopeful of getting a positive result against AC Milan at Stadio Olimpico, but is wary of the threat posed by Allegri's side.

"Milan are wounded, angry and proud, and with desire we can get the win," Brocchi told Corriere dello Sport.

"I expect a difficult encounter against a team that realises that they can't afford to lose."

Brocchi, who came through the ranks of the Milan youth academy, has yet to make an official appearance this term, but is keen to make his comeback against his boyhood club.

"I want to play so much, I can't even express it. I hope to get back on the pitch on Saturday," he said.
