FORMER Sydney FC boss Terry Butcher is thought to be the front runner to land the manager's job at Scottish outfit Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Butcher is currently the assistant to Scotland coach George Burley but may consider combining international duties with club management.
After leaving Sydney FC at the end of A-League season two he returned to the UK and became manager of Brentford.
After a short stint in charge, he left Griffin Park and then joined Scotland's international set up.
Former Chelsea and Blackburn striker Chris Sutton and the experienced Archie Knox have also been considered for the post.
