Socceroos superstar Tim Cahill is set to sign with his former English Championship club Millwall, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The Daily Telegraph claims the 38-year-old flew to England last weekend and quoted a source who said an announcement was expected soon.
The unnamed source said: “He will be back at Millwall. Tim has already gone to England. It’s not a done-deal just yet but expect an announcement soon.”
Cahill made 249 appearances for Millwall and scored 56 goals from 1998 to 2004, helping the side reach the 2004 FA Cup Final.
Millwall are currently managed by Cahill's ex-teammate Neil Harris, who was also part of the Lions' 2004 FA Cup Final side.
The Lions are currently 16th in England's second tier, having earned promotion in 2016-17.
Millwall are in the bottom seven clubs in the Championship for goals scored having netted 29 times this term and Cahill would add to their attacking options.
Midfielder George Saville is their current top scorer with seven goals, while Jed Wallace and Lee Gregory both have four strikes.
Cahill left Melbourne City in December in search of more regular game-time with a view to making the Socceroos' 2018 World Cup squad, having competed in 2006, 2010 and 2014.
