CARDIFF CITY insist they have not received any approach from Fulham for manager Dave Jones.
The Bluebirds boss is rumoured to be one of the frontrunners for the vacant position at Craven Cottage following Roy Hodgson's switch to Liverpool.
The Barclays Premier League club have been sent back to the drawing board after top target Martin Jol reluctantly agreed to remain in charge of Dutch giants Ajax.
Jones, who is being heavily linked along with the likes of Mark Hughes and Alan Curbishley, led Cardiff to the play-off final back in May and his success under difficult off-field circumstances in south Wales has also seen him recently linked with vacancies at West Ham and Celtic.
But a statement from Cardiff read: "Neither the club or the manager have received an approach from Fulham Football Club regarding the vacant manager's job at Craven Cottage.
"As ever, he is 100% concentrating on preparing the team for the new season."
Meanwhile, Cardiff chief executive Gethin Jenkins insists the npower Championship club are keen to resolve the issue surrounding outstanding finances owed to Motherwell as quickly as they can.
The Clydesdale Bank Premier League outfit yesterday demanded City settle a "substantial" overdue instalment of the transfer fee due for defender Paul Quinn.
The 24-year-old made the move to Wales last summer for a fee reportedly in the region of £300,000 but they claim an instalment due in January has still not been received.
Jenkins said: "We are fully aware of the debt owed to Motherwell and we are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible."

Michael Chopra has issued a stark warning to Cardiff's board - sort out the club's financial mess or I'm leaving.
The Bluebirds, who have lost Joe Ledley to Celtic, are currently under a transfer embargo and manager Dave Jones is unable to bolster his ranks ahead of the August 7 kick-off.
It is just the latest in a turbulent period for the Welsh outfit and, in part of an open outburst, Chopra told the South Wales Echo: "I'm well hacked off. If this club doesn't bring in new players, I'm off.
"I've had enough. Nothing is moving, with just a couple of weeks until the new season. I can see that we will struggle this season if people at board level don't get real and sort this matter (the financial struggles) out sooner rather than later.
"It's not good for morale and I'm not the only one fuming about the lack of movement in the camp."
