CASSIO'S only regret at his stunning strike against Newcastle Jets is that it only rescued a point for Adelaide United rather than deliver all three.
With Adelaide staring down the barrel of a third home defeat this season, the Brazilian scored one of the goals of the year with his 76th minute equaliser.
"We were losing the game 1-0 and we were playing at home, all the boys tried to move forward to get the goal, and after I scored I think the crowd tried to push us on to score more goals," Cassio said.
The memorable strike was the Brazilian's sixth in the A-League, and while he agrees it was one of the best he has scored, he says he would have preferred to walk off the field at the final whistle with all three points.
"Straight away when I kicked the ball I knew it was going in, it was lucky for us," Cassio said.
"I think it was a beautiful goal, a good goal, but of course I would have liked to win the game."
The Brazilian is clearly enjoying life at Hindmarsh.
"I'm very happy now because I've been playing good and scoring goals," he said. "I think we deserved to win last night but we were a bit unlucky so that's it.
"We're still four points from first spot and we have to keep moving on to chase them."
Cassio is now looking forward to building on the Jets game against Dave Mitchell's men.
He added: "This season we haven't played very well at home, we need to try and win all of the games at home.
"We've been a bit unlucky in some games but now we have to forget this game and look forward to Perth Glory on Friday. Everyone has to improve. If we all improve, we have the quality to play and move the club forward."
