Two goals by Heidar Helguson ensured QPR maintained their five-point lead at the top of the npower Championship as they eased to a 3-0 win at struggling Middlesbrough.
The Hoops' lead had been cut to two points by Swansea's 3-0 lunchtime win over Leeds and Neil Warnock's side were held for 41 minutes by Boro.
Helguson then opened the scoring when he slotted home a left-footed shot from Adel Taarabt's pass.
