THE Netherlands extended their unbeaten streak to 10 matches with a 2-0 friendly win over China in Beijing on Tuesday.
Louis van Gaal's side were dominant in their latest victory, which followed a 3-0 success against Indonesia on Friday, as Robin van Persie and Wesley Sneijder found the net against the 10-man hosts.
China had a good early chance at the Workers Stadium, but captain Zheng Zhi put his header over the crossbar.
The game's first goal came shortly after as new Dutch captain Van Persie converted an 11th-minute penalty.
Zhang Linpeng conceded the spot-kick and the Manchester United forward slotted past Zeng Cheng.
The goal saw Van Persie move to equal-third in the Netherlands' all-time scorers list.
Only Patrick Kluivert (40) and Dennis Bergkamp (37) have scored more goals than Van Persie for the Netherlands.
Things went from bad to worse for China just two minutes after Van Persie's goal, as midfielder Qin Sheng was given a straight red card for a two-footed lunge.
Jonathan de Guzman had a good free-kick saved in the first half for the Netherlands, while winger Arjen Robben fired into the side netting from close range.
It seemed to be just a matter of time until the second goal was scored but China held on until the break.
The Netherlands finally sealed the win with 24 minutes to play as Sneijder converted a Robben cross.
Sneijder helped create the goal, charging onto a long ball and producing an excellent first touch to find Van Persie, who picked out Robben in space on the wing.
Robben cut back a simple ball and Sneijder was in the right place at the right time, with the Galatasaray midfielder scoring a sublime back heel finish to help the Netherlands to their fourth win in a row.
