MELBOURNE Heart coach John van 't Schip says he is happy to see his side creating chances despite going goalless for the third straight game in Saturday's 0-0 home draw with Sydney FC.
"The good thing is that we are creating chances," van 't Schip said.
"Today I think again we had one or two very big chances, although if I am being honest, so did they in the first half when Simon (Colosimo) did fantastic to clear the ball away.
"The second half was a lot better, we had control of the game, and we kept the opposition scoreless.
"We are now looking to Gold Coast and we will see how the team will recover."
Heart striker John Aloisi had one goal disallowed for offside, before spurning a 72nd minute chance after Adrian Zahra's good work.
Aloisi said after the game he felt Heart may have taken the points, but admitted Sydney had their chances too.
"We could've got the three points but I think Sydney could've also got three points," Aloisi said.
"Both sides attacked, I have to say Sydney probably outplayed us first-half, we came back into it in the second-half and we had a couple of chances, had a goal disallowed and one I probably should've done better with. But it's not a bad game in the end."
Aloisi added about his 72nd minute chance: "I thought I had the ball in the right spot there but Stuey (Musialik) made a great tackle, it was a little bit unlucky."
Standout Sydney defender Sebastian Ryall said the Sky Blues were content to take the point as they continue to climb the ladder and improve.
"We've been a bit unlucky this year," Ryall said. "There's still more games to come, we've got a game this Wednesday and if we win that we're pushing up the table.
"We're turning it around a bit so we'll just keep working on the same old things."
Sydney FC host Wellington Phoenix on Wednesday, while Heart's next fixture is away to Gold Coast United on Sunday week.
