MELBOURNE Heart captain Simon Colosimo believes John Aloisi could be the club's trump card in the fight for an A-League finals berth.
The 34-year-old struck twice to rescue a point in the Melbourne derby at the weekend.
The point keptĀ Heart's hopes of making the finals in their inaugural A-League season well and truly alive with Colosimo paying tribute to his teammate.
"It's typical of JA, talk about someone who scores important goals everywhere he goes," Colosimo said.
"They were two of the most important goals this club will have, not only because it's against Victory, but also where the club is at this point of the season."
Aloisi's double takes his tally for this campaign to seven goals from 17 appearances, meaning he leadsĀ Heart's scoring charts.
Four have come in this impressive six match unbeaten run put together by Heart, gleaning 12 of a possible 18 points along the way.
The 55-time capped Socceroo will coach Heart's youth team in 2011-12.
