MELBOURNE Heart skipper Simon Colosimo is full of praise for the youngsters who he believes can only further aid the club's quest for A-League success this season.
Coach John van't Schip is a big believer in developing youth and this week saw 19-year-old Kliment Taseski included as part of Heart's inaugural leadership group.
Colosimo is delighted to see so many young players pushing hard to impress at the club.
"We've finally got most of the squad together. There was a lot more player wise to choose from, so it's come down to, there's pressure for positions now," he told Heart's official website.
"It's great to have guys like Eli (Babalj), Kamal (Ibrahim), Brendan Hamill, Kliment (Taseski) when he came on. These guys have come in against Everton, done a good job and they are going to put everyone under pressure.
"The coach has said from day one that as soon as you can show me that you are the best option, then you are the best option. There's a lot of motivation for the younger boys to break in, there's a lot of motivation for the older boys to stay on their toes and work hard."
