Murdocca said the Queensland dressing room did not speak directly about Moore's return before the Perth game on Sunday. It was something that did not need to be expressed, said the Roar midfielder.

"When I saw Craig's name on the whiteboard … It made me think you've just got to go for life. Go for everything," Murdocca told au.fourfourtwo.com.

"It told us that Craig was serious about his football, the club and we should all follow suit. For me personally, it opened up my eye a little bit. Not just in a football sense but life in general.

"I mean Craig's done a lot of things in his career but something like this can really affect your life. I was in awe."

Moore was a surprise inclusion in last Sunday's side to play Glory at Suncorp – just ten days after undergoing surgery for testicular cancer. The Socceroo defender is now awaiting the all-clear from the doctors following and is set to play on Friday night against Sydney FC.

"Seeing how much he [Moore] really does care about his football. You can't imagine that. Maybe he's shown everybody that's what it takes to go to the next level," added Murdocca.

"He's played at the highest level and he's shown you've got to make football your life. It's definitely opened up some of the younger boys' eyes."
