Guangzhou Evergrande – who top the table with two wins from as many matches – started their season with a 5-1 win over Shanghai Shenxin.

And they followed it up with an easy home triumph, with Brazilian attacker Elkeson scoring a hat-trick.

After a double on the opening day of the season, Elkeson opened the scoring after 13 minutes.

He added a second on 32 minutes and wrapped up his hat-trick in the second half as the hosts won well.

Beijing Guoan have also won both their matches this season, with former Tottenham and Sevilla striker Frederic Kanoute on the scoresheet.

Kanoute scored with 16 minutes left as Beijing Guoan won 1-0 at Wuhan Zall.

Goals to Lu Zheng and Marius Niculae helped Shandong Luneng to a 2-0 win against Changchun Yatai, while Qingdao Jonoon edged Dalian Aerbin 1-0.

The day's other match saw Shanghai SIPG play out a 1-1 draw against Guizhou Renhe.
