Guangzhou R&F moved to the top of the table thanks to a 2-1 win at struggling Tianjin Teda in Sunday's Chinese Super League action.
Hao Wei's side entered the match with three wins from four matches and they kept up their good form with an impressive victory at the TEDA Football Stadium.
After a goalless first half, Brazilian Davi opened the scoring for Guangzhou R&F on 49 minutes before the side doubled their advantage almost immediately from the restart through Rafael Coelho.
Dutch forward Sjoerd Ars added a late consolation for Tianjin Teda.
Meanwhile, Argentine midfielder Dario Conca's 44th-minute equaliser saw Guangzhou Evergrande take a point in a 1-1 draw against Guizhou Renhe.
Zlatan Muslimovic gave the away side the lead with a goal in the 20th minute before Conca stepped up to convert a penalty just before half-time, as Guangzhou Evergrande took outright second on the table.
In Sunday's final match, Beijing Guoan and Dalian Shide played out a goalless stalemate.
