EXCLUSIVE: Perth Glory great Bobby Despotovski says there could be interest in Asia for his coaching services.
The 37-year-old former striker was one of the most accomplished players to span both the old NSL and A-League - and he's now added a UEFA "A" coaching licence to his arsenal.
Perth-based Despotovski, who returned a couple of weeks ago from Europe, tells au.fourfourtwo.com that he has the qualifications to coach in the A-League but will weight up his options.
In the meantime, he's likely to continue coaching in the WA State League.
"I've done my coaching degrees," said Despotovski. "I could coach A-League with a "B" licence but I have "A". It was all done in Belgrade so I'm just waiting for my paperwork to come through.
"I was coaching in the Premier League here with Inglewood United last season but I left to go to Europe for my coaching degree but now they are calling me to come back next season."
Despotovski was the A-League Player of the Year for season one at 34 years of age. He scored 104 goals for Glory over a decade in A-League/NSL and was recognised generally as one of the more intelligent strikers in the league.
He added: "If I can go to the A-League and work full-time I'd prefer that but I have to weigh up my options. I have a few options in Singapore as well.
"I'll sit down and talk with the family about these options. I think I can make a contribution."
