The Argentina international winger has been linked with an exit from the Bernabeu in recent weeks, with the signing of Isco and the possible arrival of Bale from Tottenham throwing the spotlight on his chances of a first-team berth.

Di Maria made 22 La Liga starts for the capital club last season, but his ability to hold down a regular spot in Carlo Ancelotti's starting XI would likely be compromised should the club win their lengthy battle to bring Welshman Bale to Madrid.

However, Di Maria is not entertaining thoughts of leaving, with the 25-year-old ready to honour his current deal.

"I have three years left on my contract," he said after featuring in Real's 3-0 pre-season win over Inter in the USA, as goals from Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Casemiro gave Ancelotti's side victory.

"I am staying. I am very happy here.

"I just want to try and start the league campaign in the best way possible."

Di Maria has made 90 La Liga appearances for Real since joining from Benfica for €36million in 2010.
