Adelaide's Bruce Djite has been dealt another injury blow with confirmation he will miss Friday's A-League clash with Melbourne Victory.
Djite tore his adductor in his return from an unrelated groin injury in Saturday's 4-2 loss to Western Sydney at Hindmarsh Stadium.
He was hopeful of featuring against Victory at the same venue but has instead set his sights on a return against Sydney FC on February 16.
Djite, who first injured his groin in last month's 3-2 win over Perth Glory, is one of three Reds to be struck down by groin injuries in the past eight weeks alongside Marcelo Carrusca and Fabio Ferreira.
On a more positive note, Adelaide will welcome back Argentine forward Jeronimo Neumann from suspension against the Victory.
