According to Turkish reports, Djite scored twice on his debut and provided an assist in the 4-0 trial match victory over Denizlispor.

The former Reds striker scored in the 32nd and 74th minutes. The other scorers for Genclerbirligi were Bilal and Pektemek.

Djite has been based in the Turksih mountains around five hours drive from the Istanbul with his new club over the last week at a pre-season camp.

The 21-year-old was left out of under-fire Olyroos coach Graham Arnold's Olympic squad last week, with the player vowing to work even harder to get into the Socceroos squad in the future.
