Hamilton defender Brian Easton looks set for a move to Burnley after both clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for the highly-rated youngster.
The 21-year-old will undergo a medical before joining the newly-promoted Barclays Premier League outfit on their pre-season trip to the United States.
Easton becomes the latest player to be plundered from the Clydesdale Bank Premier League by Burnley boss Owen Coyle, who also snapped up Steven Fletcher from Hibernian.
A statement on Hamilton's official website, www.acciesfc.co.uk, confirmed: "Hamilton Accies and Burnley Football Club have agreed a transfer fee for the transfer of Brian Easton.
"Brian will travel to England for his medical and thereafter join Burnley on their tour of California.
"We wish to record our appreciation of the way Owen Coyle conducted the negotiations and good fortune to Brian on the next phase of his career.
"Both clubs have agreed not to divulge the financial details of the transfer."
Coyle has also been linked with a move for teenager James McCarthy, who was the subject of constant speculation regarding his future last season.
The statement continued: "The speculation surrounding James McArthur and James McCarthy has no foundation.
"We attempt to conduct all negotiations in a private and professional manner and on receipt of any formal offers the player and his representatives will be fully informed.
"We will be making no further comment on transfers until we are in receipt of new, formal offers."
