The 30-year-old striker will join the UAE side from Brazilian club Flamengo and will be the team's third foreign player alongside Chilean striker Jorge Valdivia and Argentinian forward Jose Sand.

Emerson has previously played for Al Sadd in Qatar, where he won two league titles in 2006 and 2007, and will provide valuable experience for Al Ain's 2010 Asian Champions League campaign.
