Falkirk have added former Barcelona midfielder Arnau Riera to their squad.
The Bairns have secured the 25-year-old on a season-long loan deal from Sunderland.
Riera, who spent three years with Barcelona, signed a three-year contract at the Stadium of Light last summer after impressing in a trial period.
Barcelona were reluctant to allow their B team captain to leave and insisted on a sell-on clause.
But he made just two appearances for Sunderland - both defeats in August last year - and was sent off in his last one, a 2-0 Carling Cup loss at Bury.
He then made just two appearances during a two-month loan spell with Southend.
However, he impressed Falkirk boss John Hughes during the club's pre-season training camp in Holland.
