EXCLUSIVE: Former Manchester United player Terry Cooke has arrived in Townsville today for trials with A-League club North Queensland Fury.
The 33-year-old former England U/21 midfielder has been playing in the MLS for Colorado Rapids for the last four years.
Cooke was at Old Trafford for five years from 1994 making four appearances for the Red Devils.
He's also spent time at Manchester City and was loaned out to eight clubs over a ten year career in the UK before signing with the MLS franchise.
Cooke was released by the Rapids in July and trained with Nottingham Forest and Seattle Sounders but is now looking to relaunch his career in the A-League.
Cooke could be an ideal replacement for injured Fury midfielder James Robinson although in the short term, at least, he may be lacking match fitness.
