But if the 31-year-old Dunfermline Athletic FC captain chooses to join the A-League new boys, he would become the Fury's fifth and final international signing - and it will leave no room for Fury's other target, Costa Rican Luis Corrales.

Dunfermline manager Jim McIntyre confirmed an offer had been made and said his star defender was considering the move.

"An offer has been made to Scott and he is thinking it over," he told Scotland's Daily Record.

The ex-Portsmouth player would become the club's sixteenth signing with Scott Chipperfield also set to give the club his decision in the coming days.
