IAN Ferguson is confident his shell-shocked North Queensland Fury side will bounce back from their five-goal drubbing by Central Coast Mariners on Saturday night.
Fury had several solid chances early in the match, but couldn't find the finishing touch.
Despite this frustration Ferguson saw some positives.
"On a different day it could have been a different story. The difference out there tonight was the Mariners were clinical, we also missed five or six chances," Ferguson said.
"But we've shown we can comeback from tough losses and I know the boys won't be giving up. They'll be back next week to show they're a better side than we saw against the Mariners."
Ferguson conceded his team didn't have the defensive discipline needed to shut out the Mariners who were again in rare form with their shots on target.
After conceding five for the second time this season, the Fury coach was understandably disappointed in the defensive effort.
"The defence was all over the place, we tried a couple of things and as a result of those, those two goals."
