FFV is running a comprehensive football road show in Hamilton this week, including MILO GoalKick clinics and Grassroots Certificate courses.
MILO GoalKick is FFV’s junior development and participation program is designed to introduce young boys and girls aged between five and 12 to the game of football. It focuses on teaching kids the basics of the game in a non-competitive fun environment.
The highlight of the road show occurs on Thursday when FFV hosts a free MILO GoalKick ‘Come and Try’ Clinic at Pedrina Park, North Boundary Road, Hamilton from 4.30pm-6pm.
FFV Community Programs Coordinator, Salv Carmusciano, is excited about bringing football to the region.
"Hundreds of kids from 11 schools in and around Hamilton will take part in our clinics over three days, introducing a new group of boys and girls to the game," he says.
"We have been supported greatly by the Hamilton Soccer Club in planning what is shaping as a great few days of football."
Carmusciano says that Hamilton Soccer Club is using the week as a precursor to its introduction of a 12-week MILO GoalKick program in April.
"Hamilton Soccer Club will be running this program from April and we are giving everyone a chance to see what it’s all about.
"Registration is $55 for the three-month program starting Saturday April 21st.
Each registered participant receives a size 3 Nike Football, a MILO GoalKick backpack and cap, an FFV drink bottle and a certificate of participation."
