Brazilian giants Flamengo have confirmed they will attempt to sign AC Milan striker Ronaldo after carnival celebrations which take place from Friday until Wednesday.
The club's marketing vice president, Ricardo Hinrichsen, said: "We have to talk with Ronaldo's manager after the carnival. Flamengo are hopeful of signing him."
Ronaldo, 31, who has played at PSV, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Inter Milan, is under contract with the Rossoneri until July but has expressed his desire to join the Brazilian club.
