FOUR candidates are in the frame for the North Queensland Fury coaching job with the unnamed quartet 'all highly credentialed coaches with proven track records on the international stage' according to the selection panel.
The Fury coaching selection panel met in Townsville last week and again at the weekend to review the applications, and will this week interview those applicants who have made the shortlist.
North Queensland Fury Interim CEO Archie Fraser said: "The quality of the applications we received was outstanding and candidates came in from all over the world.
"More than 40 applications were seriously considered by the selection panel and of these, 12 applicants held a Pro License coaching qualification.
"We intensively reviewed every application and have come up with a shortlist many international football clubs would envy.
"The four shortlisted applicants have the highest credentials, including a Pro License or equivalent, and have outstanding proven track records at an international level.
"We are at the crucial stage of the selection process. The people of North Queensland and our supporters will be delighted with the calibre of the four coaches we are interviewing. We only want the best in the business coming to lead the new Fury."
