Liverpool's Mamadou Sakho, Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane and Newcastle United duo Yohan Cabaye and Loic Remy have all been selected for the friendly against Holger Osieck's side on October 11 and the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Finland four days later.

Sakho could make his first appearance for his country since the friendly defeat to Brazil in June, while Varane capped his comeback from a knee injury by appearing in Real's UEFA Champions League tie with Copenhagen on Wednesday.

Cabaye was left out of Deschamps' squad for the trips to Georgia and Belarus in September having missed Newcastle's first three games of the season, while Remy has scored three goals in two Premier League games.

Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac is ruled out with a toe injury and midfielders Geoffrey Kondogbia and Josuha Guilavogui both miss out.

Defender Adil Rami is also not in the squad, with the Valencia player still embroiled in a disagreement with the Spanish side over reported comments made about manager Miroslav Djukic.

France are guaranteed a play-off spot in Group I but face an uphill task in trying to overtake leaders Spain.

Deschamps' men are level on points with the world champions but have played a game more, as Vicente del Bosque's side having two qualifiers remaining.
