The 24-year-old has signed with Fury for the 2009 and 2010 seasons and joins midfielders Ufuk Talay and Brendon Santalab, defenders Robbie Middleby and Jacob Timpano and Jeremy Brockie, James Robinson and Marton Vass in the evergrowing Fury roster.

Fury coach Ian Ferguson said he’d watched Spagnuolo over the past few seasons
and was excited by the prospect of signing a fast, attacking player who could leave defenders second guessing.

He said: “Jason has got pace and he’s very clever with the timing of his runs so teammates can hit him with a pass.

“The one thing a defender fears is an attacking player who has pace on the ball and I think Jason can do a fantastic job for us in the midfield because he can play left or right side.

“The other thing that really impresses me is his effort and commitment.”
